Madrid 1963. She has a degree in Law from the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid. She studied philosophy with Juan Blanco. Her novels La escala de los mapas (1993), Tocarnos la cara (1995) La conquista del aire (1998) Lo real ( 2001) El lado frío de la almohada (2004), El Padre de Blancanieves (2007),  Deseo de ser punk (2009), were published by Anagram. Acceso no autorizado (2011) and El comité de la noche (2014) were published by Penguin Random House. SM published El balonazo (2008), El día que mamá perdió la paciencia (2009), El amigo que surgió de un viejo ordenador (2012) and El blog de la verdad extraordinaria, the latter book written with Luis Ruiz de Gopegui. Foro Complutense published her talk Un pistoletazo en un concierto and UDP published a collection of her essays titled Rompiendo algo (2014). She collaborated on the screenplay of La suerte dormida, directed by Ángeles González-Sinde. She wrote the screenplay of El principio de Arquímedes, directed by Gerardo Herrero, who also directed Las razones de mis amigos, based on her novel La conquista del aire. She wrote the theatre piece El coloquio in collaboration with Unidad de Producción Alcores. Her latest book is the children’s story Mi misión era acercarme a Miranda (20015), published by Ecologistas en Acción.
Every now and again she writes articles in different media.
