Danele Sarriugarte has a degree in translation and interpretation from the University of the Basque Country. In 2014, thanks to the Igartza grant, she published a novel, Erraiak, which was very well received by critics and the public. She collaborates with several mass media as a literary critic and by writing articles and columns. She has translated several books into Euskara, including a poetry anthology by Audre Lorde and the chronicle “A Supposedly Fun Thing I Will Never Do Again” by David Foster Wallace. She lives in Donostia and works as a journalist and freelance translator. She is interested in cultural critique and feminisms.
