Ferran Barenblit (born 1968, Buenos Aires) is an Argentinian cultural activist. He studied Art History at the Universitat de Barcelona (1991) and Museology at New York University (1995). Ferran Barenblit was curatorial assistant at the The New Museum (New York), curator of l’Espai 13 at the Fundació Joan Miró and director of the Centre d’Art Santa Mònica in Barcelona between 2003 and 2008, when he was replaced by Vicenç Altaió, in order to become the director of the Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo in Madrid. Since July 2015 he has been the director of the MACBA.
